Human Resources
The HR Forum is the newest discipline-based forum, with a focus on employment law and regulations as they impact the retail and hospitality sector. The forum’s remit covers a wide range of risk-related issues including worker’s rights and responsibilities, HMRC rules around working hours, mental health and wellbeing, gender definition policies and approaches to far-reaching issues including maternity/paternity leave and the menopause. This forum, like many of the others, was exercised during the COVID-19 pandemic dealing with unprecedented employment issues and the implementation of furlough policies, working from home and rules around return to work, lateral flow testing and vaccination.
