Logistics & Supply Chain

As the name suggests, the Logistics and Supply Chain forum deals with risk as it impacts the retail supply chain – from farm to fork, coffee bean to coffee cup and the all-important final mile activity. Comprised of 3PLs, courier companies and national retailers and pure online businesses, the forum explores all supply chain vulnerabilities between points A and Z, including target hardening of vehicles, service areas and distribution centres as well as looking at driver training and compliance issues, goods lost in transit (GLIT) and proof of delivery (PoD) protocols. With such a wide remit the forum collaborates with specific agencies including the Road Haulage Association, NaVCIS, Department for Transport, the Institute of Couriers and TAPA (The Transported Asset Protection Association).
